Eileen Rafferty, Artist and Owner
I’ve known since kindergarten that art would be in my future. “Eileen has good ideas for art” my kindergarten teacher wrote in my report card. Fast forward many years, and I found myself earning my Bachelor degree from The School of Visual Arts in New York alongside some amazing artists. From there, I went on to have a rewarding career as an Art Director and Graphic Designer for Scholastic, Time Warner, and numerous freelance accounts, including NY Daily News, NY Times, and Macys. After moving to Flemington over 30 years ago, I took time away from the art world to raise my three daughters, but I have kept my passion strong by painting just about anything. From murals to children’s furniture my trademark whimsical art has brought a smile to many. I’ve realized that teaching art is where I find my comfort zone and sharing my passion is very rewarding. My desire to open my own “entertainment style” art class studio has been in the making for some time and I am optimistic that you will enjoy your night out at my labor of love - “The Paint Party Studio.” I have a talented team of artists eager to make you feel at home, relax, have fun, enjoy good conversation, paint, and take home YOUR masterpiece! Our childrens birthday parties, camps and classes are second to none, I am amazed at the talent the young children have who come to our studio!...When I tell them I started at age 5 drawing Wilma Flinstone...they don't know who that is...but they get it!...what I try to instill in then is "love what you do and it's not a job!"
